Close-Up Photographer of the Year

Really cool to find out that one of my favourite pictures was placed as Finalist in the inaugural, Close-up Photographer of the Year Award. It is a brand-new competition, but I like how it is run, with lots of communication with the organizing committee and RAW images being inspected by the judges.

The picture, Nemo on Pink Bubble Anemone was taken in Pulau Weh, Aceh. A neon pink bubble-tip anemone was a rare find for me. The baby nemo was darting around as if on sugar high and it took some effort to capture it in focus.
